My name is Gina and I’ve decided to ask the bank for a loan for my sisters treatment and her daughter,I’ve also decided go to rehab to help me beat my drug addiction and  get a job so I can provide for my niece( if i can’t raise enough money for my sisters treatment then i can at least take care of family I have left right?), I wasn’t in the right mind to make big decisions back then, it was drug induced actions .the money that  project prevention provided didn’t help me much. only as a temptation to buy more crack and for what ,the potential life of my child, my niece’s potential cousin gone and no chance for another. After that I promised never to put myself or anyone I love into that kind of situation again and to never go to project prevention for half-ass answers either.

Project prevention in my personal opinion are overrated. They only focus on preventing drug addicts from consieving any children. Which is a Nobel cause but can be so more effective if they gave a crap about the people on drugs instead of taking advantage of them. Project prevention pays drug addicted women up to £300/$500 after they are sterilised, which will most likely lead to them buying more drugs and after that money’s gone they will do anything to reach their next high, even resorting to selling drug themselves on impressionable teenagers, which can lead to more unwanted pregnancies to eventually more abortions and sterilising for money to get more drugs and a cycle is created. This is off the top of my head but how about spending time, effort and money(because they clearly have so much to pay a lot of druggies to get sterilised) to help them beat their addictions which would fix and stabilise their lives( including mental health). And Hopefully these people will become responsible, productive members of society and if they also happen to become parents well your job in preventing drug affected children is done. Just by giving drug addicted women a little help it can instantly help the young.
